In factory logistics, transporting large and heavy materials is a key task. Many manufacturing plants often handle a large number of heavy coils. So, how can coils be transported safely? This article provides an in-depth understanding of the methods used for transporting steel coils.

In the automotive manufacturing industry, steel coils are essential raw materials for body panels, and their safe transportation directly impacts production efficiency and operational safety. Thecoil transfer cart designed by PEISA for coil transportation provides a comprehensive handling solution for the industry through specially structured tables and intelligent control systems.

Special Table Design Ensures Transportation Safety
The core of the steel coil cart lies in its table structure—a detachable "U" or "V" frame design:

  • "V" frame: More suitable for medium-sized steel coils with a diameter of 1–2 meters. It can be designed with one or multiple V-frames to accommodate several steel coils.

  • "U" frame: Suitable for large-diameter steel coils. It better fits the shape of the coils and supports heavier loads.

Both designs are engineered with force analysis and thickened steel plate welding, ensuring stability and safety for loads up to 100 tons. The coil transfer cart table can be quickly disassembled and converted into a flatbed mode to achieve “multi-purpose in one cart.”

Intelligent Configuration of the Power System
According to the actual working conditions in automotive manufacturing plants, PEISA provides two power supply solutions for the coil transfer cart:

  • Battery power supply: Suitable for cross-workshop transportation, not limited by wires or distance, with zero emissions and no pollution.

  • Cable drum power supply: Meets the needs of medium- to long-distance transportation and continuous long-duration operation.

  • Low-voltage rail power supply: Suitable for high-frequency, three-shift working environments.

The equipment comes standard with a wireless remote control system, offering an operating radius of 50 meters.
