Project Background: A steel processing plant in Wuxi previously relied entirely on forklifts to transport steel coils. While small coils were manageable, large-diameter, heavy steel coils/strips were difficult to handle and posed a risk of rolling off. With increased orders, the workshop was experiencing delays due to steel coil transportation, and they urgently needed a more stable transfer equipment.
The customer stumbled upon our coil transfer trolley on TikTok and, after consultation, decided to purchase one to try.

PEISA MACHINERY: We are an established manufacturer of industrial transfer vehicles, and we have been making specialized vehicles for steel coils for 8 years. We are intimately familiar with the common diameters and weights of steel coils in workshops and can directly provide customers with ready-made, compatible tooling.
Why did the customer choose the 10-ton model? The customer's commonly transported steel coils weigh around 8 tons each, and 10 tons provides a sufficient safety margin; steel strips average around 2 tons. The trackless design eliminates the need for tracks, allowing the trolley to go wherever the steel coils are stacked in the workshop, making it far more flexible than rail-based systems.
This coil transfer trolley has a very practical configuration: a load capacity of 10 tons, with a safety factor of 1.2; the platform is equipped with removable steel pipes, which can securely hold steel coils with widths from 0.5 meters to 1 meter. With the pipes removed, it can also transport steel strips; the body has a box-beam structure, ensuring stable and safe transportation of heavy goods; and it comes with a wireless remote control, allowing for start and stop control within 50 meters with a single press.
Now that the coil transfer trolley has been delivered, what used to take 3 people and 1 hour to move steel coils with a forklift can now be done by one person with a remote control in 5 minutes. The workshop has never experienced any steel coil slippage since, and efficiency has doubled.
