Project Background and Requirements
The Hebei steel factory primarily engages in steel processing and production. The main materials transported within the workshop are various types of steel coils, with a single coil weighing up to 10 tons. Due to their cylindrical shape, these coils are prone to rolling and are difficult to secure during transportation.
The factory previously relied on a combination of overhead cranes and forklifts for transportation. However, this method presented several problems: steel coils could easily slip or fall, forklift visibility was limited, and the operation posed certain safety risks.
In addition, the overall transportation efficiency was insufficient to meet the logistics demands of mass production within the workshop.
Therefore, the client requested a customized Coil Transfer Cart capable of safely transporting steel coils, offering high load capacity, and ensuring stable and efficient material handling within the factory.
The Coil Transfer Cart customized for this client is the DWP model, with a rated load capacity of 10 tons, perfectly meeting the maximum weight requirements of the client's steel coils.
The equipment is custom-designed with dimensions of 2.5 meters in length and 2 meters in width, and an overall height of 0.7 meters. This design allows the cart to adapt to the workshop aisle width and move flexibly between production areas and storage areas.
The equipment adopts a high-visibility yellow and gray color scheme, making it easy to identify and compliant with the safety management requirements of steel factory workshops.
The core feature of the cart is its proprietary V-shaped frame design, which perfectly matches the cylindrical contour of steel coils. This structure effectively secures the coils and prevents slipping or displacement during transportation.
The cart is controlled using a wireless remote control, allowing operators to manage the equipment remotely and maintain a safe distance between personnel and the moving equipment.
