The client is a rebar processing plant in Hebei specializing in the production of finished reinforcing steel products.
For this project, the client wanted to improve the efficiency of rebar transportation, particularly when transferring materials from the processing workshop to the warehouse. In addition, during shipment preparation, the equipment is also used to move bundled rebar to designated loading areas.
Because the rebar is very long and heavy when bundled, the client required specialized equipment capable of transporting multiple bundles simultaneously, while also maintaining the flexibility to handle other materials within the workshop.
After discussing their operational needs, the client decided to commission a customized battery-powered trackless transfer cart capable of flexible movement throughout the factory.
Bundled rebar is extremely heavy and has a long, slender structure. Even when properly bundled, it can easily slip or roll during transportation, creating safety risks.
Therefore, the primary requirement was to ensure personnel safety during transportation, followed by the need for smooth, stable, and efficient material transfer.

To address the client’s operational challenges, we designed a 5-ton trackless transfer cart with the following features:
Rated Load Capacity
The cart has a rated load capacity of 5 tons and includes a 1.25 safety factor, providing strong impact resistance and reliable performance under heavy-duty working conditions.
Equipment Dimensions
The cart measures 3 meters in length and 2.2 meters in width, making it well suited for transporting bundled rebar while fitting the layout of the client’s workshop.
Trackless Design
The trackless configuration allows the cart to move freely on any floor surface inside the workshop without installing rails or modifying the existing floor. This enables flexible transportation between multiple workstations.
To prevent the rebar from slipping during transportation, steel pipe guardrails were installed on both sides of the cart. These guardrails provide reliable physical protection, effectively preventing bundled rebar from rolling or falling during operation.
The entire vehicle is built with a high-strength structural frame, ensuring excellent stability and smooth movement while minimizing vibration and impact during transportation. This design helps protect the rebar from damage during handling.
Since the equipment was put into operation, the client’s internal transportation efficiency has increased by more than 40%.
Issues related to rebar slipping during transport have been completely eliminated, and the physical workload for operators has been significantly reduced.
